Within the Fragments series, the work Des amis à table unfolds like a visual stanza on absence. Three sections of disparate materials punctuate the space: a pink fabric with childhood accents, followed by a shred of white textile, stained and altered by time.
Overlooking this scene, a fragment of a missive carries these words: des amis à table. The final rectangle, marked by two trace-like circles in red and pink hues, seems to cast a spectral gaze, letting out the whisper of a melancholy. An exploration of the "force of the few" where matter becomes a poignant form of writing.
Materials : Paper, fabric, ink, pencil, and acrylic.
