Berceuse inutile. Le rouge du peu.

Within the Fragments series, the work Berceuse inutile is a crumb of tenderness placed upon the coldness of the world. A long ribbon of worn red velvet stretches out like an ancient road, bound by an awkward white thread—the hand that trembles, still wanting to hold on to what is leaving.

At the end of this fabric path, a withered pencil-drawn flower gazes into the void. It is the stanza of a lack of love that does not cry out, but inhabits "the red of the few." An exploration of the "force of the few" where the tear of childhood becomes, through the grace of a stitch, a protected secret.

Materials : Red velvet, white thread, wallpaper, graphite pencil.
