Within the Constellations series, the work EST pushes simplification to its paroxysm. The silhouette of a house is drawn here by two twisted wires that hold hair, like an intimate and bodily archive.
At its center, a suspended red thread crosses the void to hold a fragment of paper inscribed with the verb: EST. A visual stanza of extreme fragility concerning identity, place, and what constitutes us. A celebration of the "force of the few," where the immaterial finally finds its anchor.
Materials: Assemblage. Wire, hair, paper, and acrylic.
