Within the EFFACEMENTS collection, the work Les restes d'un silence unfolds like a wordless sentence. This horizontal sculpture takes the form of a rosary of fragments: small pieces of raw clay alternate with shards of fabric, seemingly held captive within the intervals of matter.
Between the wire that provides structure and the sediments that cling to it, this work materializes muteness. This accumulation of small silences becomes a tactile archive of the ineffable—a relic where the "force of the few" expresses everything that could not be spoken.
